The BNB releases into circulation a copper
commemorative coin ‘150 Years since the Birth of Panayot Pipkov’

From 15 November 2021 the Bulgarian National Bank will release into circulation a copper commemorative coin ‘150 Years since the Birth of Panayot Pipkov’ of the ‘Bulgarian Artists’ series.

The coin will be sold for BGN 36 (thirty six levs).

It can be purchased at the Bulgarian National Bank (2 teller desks at 1, Knyaz Alexander I Sq., and 4 teller desks at the BNB Cash Center, 10, Mihail Tenev St.), and in offices and branches of DSK Bank AD, First Investment Bank AD, Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) EAD, and Texim Bank AD.

From 15 November through 17 November 2021, each client (a natural person or legal entity) can buy up to 2 coins at the Bulgarian National Bank, and after that period ‘150 Years since the Birth of Panayot Pipkov’ coin will be sold without any restrictions.

		The obverse of the coin features: the BNB logo with the year ‘1879’ on the strip; ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (Bulgarian National Bank) inscribed in circumference on the top; the year of issue ‘2021’ and the nominal value ‘2 ЛЕВА’ (2 levs) inscribed on the bottom.
		The reverse of the coin features: a portrait of Panayot Pipkov on the violin silhouette; the figure ‘150’ on the right and ‘ГОДИНИ ОТ РОЖДЕНИЕТО НА ПАНАЙОТ ПИПКОВ’ (years of Panayot Pipkov’s birth) inscribed in circumference on the bottom left.
