The BNB releases into circulation a silver commemorative coin ‘175 Years since the Birth of Zahari Stoyanov’
From 28 April 2025, the Bulgarian National Bank is releasing into circulation a silver commemorative coin on the theme ‘175 Years since the Birth of Zahari Stoyanov’ of the ‘Bulgarian Revival’ series.
The price of the coin when released into circulation is 162 (one hundred and sixty two) levs.
The coin will be sold at the Bulgarian National Bank: at two cash desks in Sofia, 1, Knyaz Alexander I Sq. and at four cash desks at the BNB Cash Centre in Sofia, 10, Mihail Tenev St.
Each client will be able to purchase only 1 coin from the cash desks of the Bulgarian National Bank, regardless of whether they purchase in their own name and at their own expense or in the name and at the expense of another person. To purchase a coin in the name and at the expense of another person, it is necessary to present a notarised express power of attorney for the purchase of the specific commemorative coin. A client who purchases a coin from the BNB cash desks as a natural person will not have the right to purchase another coin as a representative of a legal entity, and this restriction also applies in the opposite case. Coins are not sold to persons under 18 years of age.
By the end of the working day on 28 April 2025, the new coin will be provided by the BNB to Investbank AD, First Investment Bank AD, Texim Bank AD, Tokuda Bank AD and Central Cooperative Bank AD for sale in their offices and branches.
The specified banks will sell the coin in offices and branches from the following list.

The obverse of the coin features: in the centre – the BNB logo with the year ‘1879’ on the strip; underneath – the year of issue ‘2025’ and the nominal value ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (10 levs). The text ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (Bulgarian National Bank) inscribed in circumference on the top, and a stylised ornament of а crossed sword and feather on the bottom. |
