BNB releases into circulation a silver
commemorative coin ‘125 Years of Emergency Medical Care in Bulgaria’
On 7 October 2025 the Bulgarian National Bank will release into circulation a silver commemorative coin on the theme ‘125 Years of Emergency Medical Care in Bulgaria’.
Upon its release into circulation, the coin will be sold at the price of 180 levs (92.03 euro).
The Bulgarian National Bank will be selling the coin at two counters in Sofia, 1, Knyaz Alexander I Sq. and at four counters at the BNB Cash Centre in Sofia, 10, Mihail Tenev St.
Any client may purchase only one coin at the counters of the Bulgarian National Bank, regardless of whether on their own behalf and for their own account or on behalf and for the account of another person. Any client purchasing a coin on behalf and for the account of another person must present a notarised power of attorney for the purchase of this specific commemorative coin. If a client, as a natural person, purchases a coin at the BNB counters, that client may not purchase another coin as a representative of a legal entity, and this restriction applies to the opposite case as well. Coins are not sold to persons under 18 years of age.
By the end of the working day on 7 October 2025, the BNB will supply quantities of the new coin to Investbank AD, First Investment Bank AD, Texim Bank AD, Tokuda Bank AD, and Central Cooperative Bank AD for sale in their offices and branches.
The above banks will be selling the coin in the offices and branches on the following list.

Above it is the year of issue ‘2025’, and below is the inscription ‘ЛЕВА’ (levs). The words ‘БЪЛГАРСКА’ (Bulgarian) at the top and ‘НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (National Bank) at the bottom go around the edge. |
